For the connection on diagnostic plug use only the first part of the cable. For any direct connection to the ECU, use both cables connected together and supply power by a 24 Volts battery.
Ostrzeżenie: Both OBDII and 8-pins diagnostic plug may be present on the vehicle. In this case you should use the 8Pins plug as the OBDII may not work. The latter allow to perform all writing and reading operations only on newer vehicles, where there is no 8-pins diagnostic plug.
To work on these vehicles you have to use also the OBDII connecting cable for TRW system (144300K217). (Picture below).
NOTE: some communication problems may occur on vehicle with automatic gear-change. If the message wrong security code appears during the reading, repeat the ID/Reading operations after performing this procedure:
- Activate the main menu shipboard computer.
- Go to the option "EXPERT".
- Go to the option "DIAGNOSIS" (DIAGNOSTICS).
- Wybierz opcję "ID CALIBRATION".
- If no digit is shown, enter any number.
- Thereafter the message "TRANSFER ERROR" will appear.
- Now it is possible to perform ID and READING.
Do not turn off the panel while doing the above mentioned operations, otherwise you will have to repeat the entire procedure.
Whether a digit shall appear in the "ID Calibration" option it means that the communication is properly established: just follow the given instruction to read and write.
