ID

How to make ID using a Slave tool: click here

Podłącz prawidłowy kabel, wybierz ID z menu programowania i postępuj zgodnie z instrukcjami wyświetlanymi na ekranie.

When the reading nie jest obsługiwany przez ECU, you need to send the ID file to your Master for decoding.

ODCZYT

Procedura odczytu pliku na ECU i zapisania go na komputerze.

Jak odczytać plik: Podłącz właściwy kabel, wybierz Odczyt z menu programowania menu and follow the on-screen instructions.

ZAPIS

Procedura zapisu pliku do ECU.

How to write a file: Connect the right cable, select Writing from the programming menu and follow the on-screen instructions.

ZAPIS (RECOVERY)

Procedura zapisu pliku do ECU w przypadku niepowodzenia standardowej procedury zapisu.

Jak wykonać odzyskiwanie: Podłącz właściwy kabel, wybierz Odzyskiwanie z menu programowania i postępuj zgodnie z instrukcjami wyświetlanymi na ekranie.

Available options for the family

Partial Writing (map zone only)
Full Writing
ECU Writing (to lock an ECU previously unlocked)
Reading of the EEPROM memory
Writing of the EEPROM memory
Backup (to duplicate a damaged ECU)
Restore Clone (to write the backup file to a working ECU)
ECU Unlock

Ostrzeżenie

To properly make ID/Reading/Writing, carefully follow the on-screen instructions to turn on/off the ignition. When connecting to the ECU on the bench using cable 144300K251, when asked to turn on/off the ignition, use the switch with the red LED of the cable 144300K251.

When connecting to the ECU on the bench, you need to supply the tool with a stabilized power supply (+12/24V - 5A) or an external battery.

On some vehicles, especially buses, the communication may be discontinuous. In these cases, select the minimum speed in the menu SETUP - SPEED.

Partial Writing: This function allows you to write the map zone only. Whenever the ECU Software number, model, engine capacity, number of cylinders and engine power of the vehicles coincide, you can write the same modified file to multiple ECUs.

Full Writing: When you make a full writing you always must read the ECU and edit the modified file using the read one, or you'll have to recode the vehicle's keys.

ECU Writing: Procedure to perform only for locking back previously unlocked ECUs by the ECU UNLOCK function of the TOOL menu.

Reading / Writing of the EEPROM memory: You should always make a backup copy of the EEPROM.

  1. Read the EEPROM memory by selecting READING EEPROM in the TOOL menu.
  2. Save the read file to your computer.
  3. To restore the EEPROM, write the previously read file by selecting WRITING EEPROM in the TOOL menu.
Notka: Before Reading the EEPROM, perform the ID and, if the ECU software is locked, scrupulously follow the instructions provided below to unlock the ECU.

Backup - Restore Clone: If you need to clone a damaged ECU to a new, working one:
  1. Read the damaged ECU by selecting BACKUP READ in the TOOL menu.
  2. Save the file to your computer.
  3. Write the new ECU with the file previously read from the damaged ECU by selecting WRITE CLONE in the TOOL menu.
Notka: You can perform this procedure only if the two ECUs are identical to each other (same Hardware number).

To properly connect to the diagnostic connector:
  1. Connect cable 144300K249 to the tool using the fastening screws.
  2. Then connect cable 144300K249 to the vehicle diagnostic connector, using one of the cable connectors according to the diagnostic connector on the vehicle.
  3. Make ID, Reading and Writing scrupulously following the instructions provided below.
  4. Once you have finished working on the vehicle, disconnect cable 144300K249 from the diagnostic connector.
  5. Disconnect cable 144300K249 from the tool. Never disconnect the cable from the tool first and then from the diagnostic connector.

Obsługiwane kable

  • Connection on diagnostic connector: TEMIC MB Actros Kabel 144300K249

  • Connection on the bench: TEMIC MB Actros Kabel 144300K249 together with TEMIC MB Actros Cable Adapter 144300K251

Instrukcje

  1. Connect cable 144300K249 to the tool and the vehicle diagnostic connector, using the one of the cable connectors according to the diagnostic connector on the vehicle.
  2. Make ID of the ECU.
If the ECU software is not protected, you can perform Reading, Writing (full or partial) and Reading/Writing of the EEPROM without performing any other operations.

If, instead, the ECU software is protected, the following messages will be displayed on-screen: ECU protected and FlashROM is protected. In this case you need to unlock the ECU scrupulously following the instructions provided below.

How to unlock the ECU

To unlock the ECU:
  1. Wyjmij ECU z pojazdu.
  2. Open the ECU, taking care not to damage the parts inside.
  3. Ponownie podłącz ECU do pojazdu i uruchom silnik, aby upewnić się, że nadal działa i nie został uszkodzony podczas otwierania.
  4. Ponownie wyjmij ECU z pojazdu.
  5. Join together two SMD Mini Grabber Probes 144300T110:

  6. Using the two joined grabber probes 144300T110, make a bridge between pin 1 and 8 of the EEPROMas pokazanego na zdjęcius, being careful not to touch any other component on the PCB with the probes, to avoid contacts that may damage the ECU.

  7. Connect cable 144300K249 to the tool.
  8. Connect the round connector of cable 144300K251 to the round connector of cable 144300K249.
  9. Connect the jack of the power cable supplied with cable 144300K251 to the round plug of cable 144300K251.

  10. Connect the crocodile clamps of the power cable to the vehicle battery or a stabilized power supply.
  11. Connect cable 144300K251 to the ECU connector.
Notka: When asked to turn on/off the ignition, use the switch with the red LED of cable 144300K251.
  12. Read the ECU and save the locked file to your computer.
  13. Select UNLOCK ECU in the TOOL menu.
  14. Select the locked file you just read, make sure the bridge is still correctly in place, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Notka: When asked to turn on/off the ignition, use the switch with the red LED of cable 144300K251.
  15. When requested by the software, interrupt the bridge between pin 1 and 8 of the EEPROM, being careful not to touch any other component on the PCB with the probes, to avoid contacts that may damage the ECU, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Notka: The unlocking of the ECU may take about 20 minutes.
  16. At the end of the unlocking procedure you can set the ECU back on the vehicle and make Reading, Writing (full or partial) and Reading/Writing of the EEPROM in serial via the diagnostic connector using just the cable 144300K249.

If you wish to lock back the ECU, select TOT WRITE NO PATCH from the WRITING menu and rewrite the locked file read in step 12.
